And The Damage Control Continues.

And The Damage Control Continues. . . Up in New York, where the Daily News' Roger Rubin provides some details on on the blackmailing of New York Mets pitcher Grant Roberts because of his marijuana use. The way it's written, it's seems as if Roberts told the organization of his problem with a femaile fan in Binghamton months ago, yet the Mets did little, if anything, to help him until very recently. In the end, it looks like this story is engaging in some more finger pointing as to who is responsible for the perceived chaos in the Mets organization -- Manager Bobby Valentine or General Manager Steve Phillips. Something tells me this struggle between Valentine and Phillips can't possibly last all off season long. And it shouldn't. The Mets should get rid of one, or the other (or both), as soon as the season ends.
