Dan Shafer is saying "I told you so," when it comes to Giants righthander Sidney Ponson:
I hate to be right in situations like this but I told my friends at the game on Monday that if the Giants threw Sidney Ponson in Game 2, they'd lose it. They did and they did.Ponson was a bad move. I said it at the time. He's now 3-7 and his ERA is pushing 4.00. When I criticized the Giants again Monday for acquiring him in return for a chunk of their future, one of my friends sniffed, "His playoff experience will tell. That's the reson they brought him on board."
Right.
The Yannigan isn't too comfortable with this series tied at one game a piece:
So now home field advantage swings to this blasted expansion team, in Underwear Stadium. Kirk Rueter and Jerome Williams will be pitching for the Giants.Don't panic... Don't panic...
I can see a high scoring game tomorrow. I remember seeing a good amount of strikeouts by Redman's name in the box scores this year, and that bothers me. Rueter strikes out no one, and the Marlins putting the ball in play is not a good thing, especially if the defense continues to perform poorly.
Does anybody know the way to a blog by a Marlins fan? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, considering the poor fan support in South Florida, but there has to be at least one Marlins fan who blogs.
