It's only been one week since The Sopranos departed from the HBO schedule, and I I don't miss it at all. If anything, I probably miss the weekly deconstruction of each episode over at Slate more than I miss the show itself, primarily because it was a place where I could confirm my feelings that the show was going downhill.
I'm not sure when the show is going to return to HBO, but I won't be sitting around with any sense of anticipation. Whatever buzz this show had, it's officially gone.

It’s not bad, it’s just not as good. They may just be a victim of the ridiculously high expectations they developed.
Personally, I’m enjoying Deadwood and the first two seasons of The Wire more.
I second that. Deadwood, my hockey-blogger pal, watch Deadwood. I’ve only just started on The Wire, but if you liked Homicide: Life on the Street, it looks good too.
Ah Deadwood… who can forget such great conversation as…
Wu?
WHO?!?
C***SUCKER!
Classic.
