A few weeks back, I wrote about how former New York Jets wide receiver Al Toon completed his first triathlon. Now, it's former Islanders, Sabres and Rangers center Pat LaFontaine who's poised to try his hand at the Ironman game.
Why do I keep bringing this up? Because both Toon and LaFontaine had careers cut short by multiple concussions, and both complained of suffering from symptoms of post-concussion syndrome.
From the looks of it, both have to be leading pretty active lives to take on a challenge like this one. And that's the sort of news I like to hear.
