Ted at Women's Hoops passes along news of an innovative new scoring system that one Minnesota-area youth hockey league has adopted to curb fan behavior:
you get 2 points in the standings for a win, 0 points for a loss. win or lose, you also get a point if (1) you have fewer than 14 (?) minutes of penalties, and (2) no player, coach, or fan gets ejected from the game.My friend says that no one argues with the refs anymore because they don't want to get ejected.
Anybody else hearing of anything similar?
UPDATE: Ted passes along the details for the "Fair Play Point System".
