De-Selecting Times Select

As of this morning, the New York Times is moving a significant amount of content behind the subscriber wall for their new Times Select service. For readers of Off Wing, this means I simply won't be referring to the Times all that much anymore, as most of the really interesting stuff in the sports section will be behind that firewall.

I wonder if I'll really miss it. I'm thinking no.

My hunch is that you will miss the content, but not enough to pony up the fee. That’s how I feel about ESPN “Insider” content (which is growing like the weeds in my back yard) and The Wall Street Journal.
