Over the past few seasons, I've played in a number of blogger-focused fantasy leagues (I'm currently in fantasy football, a fantasy hockey league that's run by PJ at Sharkspage and even an EPL fantasy league) and figure that now's the time to start one of my own. But I'd like to ask for your help before I do.
I've been hunting around for some sort of game that reflects the new realities of the NHL -- in particular one that would have both roster limits and a salary cap -- but I'm having a bit of trouble finding one that's just right.
I've played in a free Yahoo head-to-head league, and I've had some fun. Unfortunately, the free version doesn't track scoring in real time which is a real drag. The NHL is promising to debut a number of new games today, and I'll be checking on them, but I'm not exactly hopeful.
Alternately, I'm thinking about signing up for a Sportsline league at $99.95, asking everyone of 20 players to send my $5 via PayPal to get into the league.
In any case, if you have any suggestions on the best fantasy hockey product out there, I want to hear about it. Leave your ideas in the comments box or drop me an email.
UPDATE: The NHL just unveiled their new fantasy products. Any comments?

I prefer points-based fantasy leagues over rotisserie, in case you were looking for any opinions about that.
Anyway, I’m willing to chip in a few bucks for a Sportsline league, I’m doing a couple already and like their setup, just wish Sportsline would stop crashing Firefox. Either way, they’re still my prefered fantasy league home.
