The Surprising Return of Martin St. Louis

It was only a few days ago that we were told that reigning MVP Martin St. Louis would miss 2-4 weeks with a broken finger.

But as I wake up today, I see that St. Louis scored the game winning goal against the Islanders last night inside of the last two minutes of the game.

He's wearing a splint and a modified glove. But one wonders if the loss the Lightning took at the hands of the Caps Tuesday might have inspired him to get back on the ice a little quicker.

  1. Japers says:

He’s like Willis Reed, only half as tall.

  2. John F. says:

The break occured near his fingertip…. Marty was saying that it was uncomfortable but it didn’t stop him from handling a stick.

But as someone reovering from surgery on my hand, what Marty did was bigger than he made it out to be locally
