If you cringe at the sound of "Lets Go Mets Go," (as most of the team did at the time with the exception of Gary Carter) you'll absolutely love this vintage 1987 video out of Calgary. My favorite moments: Seeing an impossibly young Brett Hull, and the look of confusion on the face of Tim Hunter. Priceless stuff.
Thanks to the Battle of Alberta for the pointer.

The Caps did a nearly identical couple of videos right around the same time (b/t ‘86 and ‘88). The chorus to one was “you come out on top, what else can you do… Capitals red, white and blue!” It’s amazing how similar they were to this video, right down to the team in polo shirts, horrible lip synching and visibly embarassed players.
Thank the lord at least one other team shares our shame.
We’ve got the teamwork
To make our dream work….
Ugh.
