I wanted to take a moment today to bid adieu to a long-time reader and friend of Off Wing Opinion, Prof. Jeff Cooper. After spending four years kicking around the Blogosphere, the good professor has decided to call it quits, and concentrate on other pursuits.
After exchanging emails and blog posts for just about as long as I've been blogging at Off Wing, I finally got a chance to meet Jeff over dinner here in D.C. last week. It was a very enjoyable evening, and helped bring home for me just how much Off Wing has enriched my life and put me in touch with some great people.
If you are a blogger, don't hesitate to reach out every once in a while and get in touch with some of your readers via a medium other than email. I did, and it developed into not one, but two podcasts and new friendships. Besides, if all you do with your readers is email, you might as well be exchanging text with a PC rather than a person.
Besides, you never know when Heidi Klum might be reading. Or not.
