Who Is The Greatest American-Born Hockey Player Of All Time?

One of Bob Sturm's readers thinks that when Mike Modano's career is over, he'll be considered the greatest American hockey player ever.

    A couple of months back, I did a Top Ten (Plus Two) American-Born Players Of All-Time list. For what it’s worth, I had Modano sixth (and rising) and Chelios at #2, but it was a coin-flip between him and my #1, Brian Leetch.

    Brian Leetch and Mike Richter would be the only players whose accomplishments are comparable to either Modano or Chelios.
