Jamie Mottram and my friends at AOL Sports Bloggers Live are doing a show on the most hated athletes later this week, and they've asked Off Wing and its readers to participate. After culling a number of lists, I came up with 10 nominees, and you can cast your vote in the sidebar to the left. I'll be taking your votes all week, up until about Noon on Thursday. Then I'll go on the air with Jamie to discuss the results.
In case I left anybody out, and I may have, let me know who to add, and I'll include them in the poll as well. And if any other blogger would like to get in on the fun, just click here, and you'll find the code you can paste onto your own blog so your readers can vote too.
So don't just sit there. Vote early and often.
UPDATE: Your wish is my command. Donald Brashear has been added to the list of candididates.
UPDATE: Thanks to one particularly bitter hockey mom, we've added Eric Lindros to the list. And this on the day it was announced he would be missing the rest of the season.
Gotta be...Eric Lindros. I don't know why. I hate him and I always have. My Mite son got stuck with sweater #88 and my husband and I successfully protested.
Now that's some serious hateration!
Another reader asked that we add Claude Lemieux, but this poll is limited to active NHL players. Perhaps we'll run a most hated player in the history of hockey some other time, Mr. Ciccarelli.

This week? Donald Brashear.
Even though he’s not active, can Claude Lemeiux win this posthumously? Yes, I know he’s not dead, I just wish he was.
No Tie Domi?
