
Wang and Garth party on, while Isles fans reach for the novocaine.
Before I review all of yesterday's coverage on Garth Snow's first day on the job as GM of the New York Islanders, I have to ask a couple of questions:
1) How long will it be before one of the New York tabloids run with this interesting series of photos of Snow with some female friends?
2) Which Islanders PR guy is going to draw the mission to Hiroshima, and have to pass these pics along to the owner? Now that's a job that I wouldn't want to have anything to do with.
Most of today's coverage hits all the same points -- mostly dealing with questions about how Snow will have to adjust from being a teammate to a boss more or less overnight. His first challenge: Arbitration hearings with forward Mike York and goalie Rick Dipietro.
As for Wang, everyone made sure to run with a conversation Islanders owner Charles Wang reportedly had with his wife:
