Don Cherry makes the case that Dion Phaneuf should have been a nominee for the Norris Trophy last season.
After hearing him go through the numbers, I think he made a pretty good case, at least, for establishing a Bobby Orr Trophy for the best offensive defenseman. Simply give it to the defenseman with the most points, and let the Norris be decided by the voters, who in turn would feel free to vote for a banger rather than a puck moving defenseman
