As soon as Neil Rackers missed the potentially game-winning field goal during last night's Cardinals-Bears game, I immediately called my friend Dave Smith in Laguna Beach. He's literally the only Cardinals fan that I know, having somehow picked up the loyalty while growing up in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
"Eric, you tell me how painful it is to be a Jets fan," he said with the rasp of the defeated in his voice, "but you have no idea what this is like."
