Fitzpatrick Moves Into #2 Slot In Western Conference All-Star Voting

I was just watching the between periods studio show on Versus, and it appears that Rory Fitzpatrick has moved into the #2 slot among Western Conference defensemen in voting for the NHL All-Star Game. If this holds through January 2, that means that Fitzpatrick will get the start alongside Anaheim's Scott Niedermayer.

Bill Clement almost choked on Rory's name. It was a great television moment.

But the results are not yet final. Don't forget, Vote for Rory.

Indeed. It was wonderful. I couldn’t figure out whether he knew about the grass-roots movement and didn’t approve, or whether he was just purely mystified by the vote total. No matter. The promo for All Star voting played earlier in the game clearly said “Vote for your favorite player”.
