According to TSN.ca:
Sources tell TSN the Nashville Predators have agreed to trade Scottie Upshall, Ryan Parent, a first round pick and a third round pick to the Philadelphia Flyers for Peter Forsberg.
That's a heck of a price to pay for what may amount to an 8-week rental, but it's a trade that's sure to electrify the fanbase in Nashville and help pack fannies in the seats come playoff time.
UPDATE: More analysis from James Mirtle, CSTB, Spector and Behind The Jersey. The consensus seems to be that both teams will come out winners: Nashville dealt from strength, and was able to keep Forberg out of the hands of any of their Western Conference rivals; meanwhile Philadelphia got the best deal they could manage given the circumstances.
