Beckham racks up the firsts last night as he makes he first start for his new club the LA Galaxy. Just 28 minutes in he scores a classic "Bend it like Beckham" set piece goal. Then 20 minutes later he gets his first assist as he puts a pass into Donovan. (One interesting note: In a move apparently initiated by Donovan, Donovan turned over his captain's armband to Beckham earlier this week.) He also received his first MLS yellow as he took out our beloved Moreno.

The only downside to Beckham's first start? It was against our favorite MLS team DC United.
