The Washington Times On The Caps And Bloggers

In today's edition of the Washington Times, Tim Lemke takes a look at the Washington Capitals and their strategy to actively engage local bloggers who write about the team. For the most part, Lemke gets the story right about how the Caps have embraced bloggers like the folks here at Off Wing, Japers' Rink and On Frozen Blog -- among others -- and made it a part of their media strategy.

I guess the one thing that left me a bit baffled was the quote Lemke chose to feature from the Off Wing archive:

"This team is as different from last season as you can imagine. The power play hasn't looked this good since the days of Oates, Bondra and Gonchar. Not only is the team controlling the zone on the power play, they're generating chance after chance
