Tonight it was only the OffWing Photographers here for the show. Through the first period we thought we had the short end of the deal.

But then came the second and third period with plenty of Cap scoring and scores of fights to rouse the folks that had come down to Verizon Center tonight to see the first pre-season game. I was too busy shooting pictures to count the number of fights, but I would guess it was around half a dozen. Oh, the game.... the Caps beat Carolina, 5-2.

The next Capitals home game will be October 3 against the Philadelphia Flyers at 7pm.
